DataManager Installation Guide

Before you start:

We suggest that you download and install DataManager before you travel, using your own network. The DataManager download is 1.3Mb.

You’ll need to be using a PC – DataManager isn’t currently configured for Mac.

Have your rental agreement (RA) number to hand as well as the email address you’ll be using on your trip.

DataManager is only a guide to data usage – the amounts shown should be accurate but do not take into account minimum usage.

Download the DataManager setup file by clicking here.

Select Save and choose a directory to save the file into e.g. My Documents

You will see a download box as the file is downloaded

When it completes select the Open Folder option and double click on the chdm_setup.zip icon (it should already be highlighted)

This will open another window which should show a file called chdm_setup.exe. Double click this file

You will see a warning box. Click Run

This will start the install process

Enter your email address and the RA (Rental Agreement) number that Cellhire provided with the equipment. This should be a 7 digit number on the paperwork provided. If you cannot find your RA number then please email us with your personal details and we’ll find it for you.

Choose your language and press Next

Choose which type of device you are using: a USB modem plugged into the USB port of your laptop or the Mi-Fi wirless router

Read and Accept the licence agreement.

Select the default location and press Next

Select the default for Start Menu Folder and press Next

Click Install

The final screen shows that installation is successful. Click Finish and DataManager will launch and appear in the task bar. You should see an "I am here" floating message.

DataManager is now installed.

Set up and use DataManager:

To configure a quota or see your current usage totals, click the right hand mouse button on the icon and select from the menu. Click with the left hand mouse button to see the current usage for that day.

For further instructions on using the software, click on the Help option in the menu.
